End of an Era

My blog is moving to a new location. You can find it at blog.wrightanimates.com. I will leave this blog up as an archive for people to reference back to.

Slightly Longer, More Detailed, and More Heartfelt version:

I wanted to take a moment and thank the many people that have frequented this blog. Without you guys, this wouldn’t be nearly half of what it is, so thank you. I started this blog just over two years to help document my journey through Animation Mentor. Although there were times where writing was scarce (what happened in 2013? There was a severe lack of posts for some unknown reason), there were other times where I wrote feverishly. My goal for all of this was to help prospective students figure out what it was like going through animation school and hopefully help them out with a few tips and tricks along the way. In short, I wanted to give back to the community.

Now, I’m sure you might be thinking: “oh man, he’s done with AM and now he’s going to stop blogging.” Well, that’s only partially true. I have decided that I’m going to start a new blog on a platform called Postach.io. It’s a fairly new blogging platform, but the developers seem very interested in making it great, so I have high hopes for its future. Basically, I want to start fresh; I’ve finished AM and now I’m making my way into the world of animation, and because of that, I want to start a new blog.

So, it is with great pleasure that I announce my blog will be moving to a new home. I will continue to keep this blog available. I still feel as though it has some good information and can help students who are just starting out. You will be able to view it by going to archive.wrightanimates.com. All of my new scribbles, thoughts, tips and tricks, and anything else I feel like writing about will be at the new location: blog.wrightanimates.com.

Thank you for being loyal readers and supporters of my work. I really appreciate it. It’s been a great two years and I hope there are many more to come. Hopefully, with this new blog, I can get back to writing more frequently. You’ve all been great.

I hope to see you at my new home. Happy animating.
